Our Staff
Jean Dolmor, our Home Manager is a Registered Nurse, who holds the Registered Manager Award and Teaching & Assessing 998 Qualification. Jean has many years of clinical experience within the NHS and the private sector and in recent years worked within the elderly care sector and leads our dedicated team, a number of whom have been with us for many years.
Alison White is the Assistant Manager responsible for care and quality development. Alison’s role includes supporting Jean, the Home Manager, and she is the first point of contact in the absence of Jean. Alison also works alongside our staff on shift to ensure clinical standards of care are delivered to the residents, also allowing us to promote continuity and consistence in the level of service delivered.
Our care staff are fully trained prior to any shifts taken at the Home and following
induction shifts where they shadow current staff to enable them to meet our residents
and understand our policy and procedures in practice they then join our team of care
staff providing 24-
Vanessa Avery is our Activities Co-
Nicole Harbison is our Administrator. She also supports Jean, the Home Manager, and the proprietor, Mr Banning. Nicole fields the calls into the home and is happy to assist families and residents with any queries and concerns they may have of a monetary nature.
Pauline O’Shea is our Head of Housekeeping and heads up a team of domestics and laundry staff ensuring the cleanliness of the communal areas and residents’ rooms is completed to a very high standard and the residents receive a superb laundry service.
Carol Porter is our Head Cook and is ably supported by a super team of cooks who works tirelessly to ensure our residents receive good, tasty, home cooked meals and that they are provided with a varied choice which caters to all their dietry requirements.
We are committed to high investment in our staff to empower them to know and understand and to enable them to deliver high quality care. All staff are encouraged to work towards achieving NVQ’s or Diplomas in Social Care, four are currently working towards achieving Gold Standard in Palliative Care. Once achieved, we will be one of a few homes in Essex to hold this standard. Staff are also encouraged to achieve the Train the Trainer accreditation in areas such as Safeguarding, Manual Handling and Common Induction Standards and Dignity and Respect.This allows our own staff to be confident in their abilities to train and disseminate their skills to other staff.
